Safety, health and environmental performance are key priorities for Buckeye Water Service Company and we consider no phase of operation or administration to be of greater importance than employee safety and accident prevention. We believe that our employees are the most important asset we have and that our customers are the most important assets we service. It is our policy, therefore, to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions, and to follow operating practices that will safeguard all employees and result in safe working conditions and efficient operations. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure work environment for both our employees and customers.
Safety, health and environmental performance are key priorities
Our safety and health program is prequalified by PICS, PEC and ISNetworld and consists of three separate parts:
  1. Safety orientation for all employees
  2. All employees pass PEC Basic Safeland class
  3. Job specific training involving safety, health or environmental requirement is provided

Our program stresses to all employees their responsibility and accountability for safe performance while at work and encourage safe behavior outside of work. We believe by working together and making safety part of our day-to-day operation we will continue achieving our primary of sending all of our employees home to their family and loved ones.

All of our employees participate in monthly safety meetings where pertinent safety issues and near misses or accidents are discussed in a group setting. We believe these meetings are a key element to our safety program as all employees have an opportunity to openly discuss what took place and any corrective measure they believe should be considered or implemented.
